----Birthday Bash----

Il-Ho looked at Nabi with wide eyes. Then he looked back at Lilith and Doki, who were talking and laughing. “Wait, you mean THE Brown family? I didn’t even know they had a daughter…” he said. He was mostly shocked about the news, but he also couldn’t figure out how she met Doki.

“Yeah, it hit me pretty hard too. I even asked her if it was another Brown family, but once we got to her parent’s mansion, she even didn’t have to answer…” Nabi said. Il-Ho smiled as he remembered the Brown mansion. It wasn’t really a mansion in his opinion. It was more like a castle on the outskirts of the city. He had only seen it a few times, but he never would’ve guessed that Lilith was living there. “But that doesn’t make her like her parents…” Nabi said.

“What do ya mean?” Il-Ho said.

“Well, her parents are part of a large corporation. Not only that, but all the money they have tends to make them snobby and full of themselves. Believe me, I’ve met them. Doki and I decided it was about time, and we got a pretty big shock.”

“Figures…” Il-Ho said.

“But the more time we spent with Lilith, we realized that she wasn’t like that. If fact, it was like she didn’t want to be like her parents at all. She was sweet and independent, yet she was shy around some people.” Nabi said.

With this, Il-Ho looked back at Lilith as she met Janice and everyone else. He thought about her living inside that mansion and having all that. He could hardly believe that someone like her wasn’t stuck up like her parents. He smiled as he looked back at Nabi and said, “So, how exactly did you guys meet her?”

Nabi smiled and sat down at the table, “Well, now that I think of it, it was about a few weeks after you and Doki broke up and…” He stopped and said, “Sorry. I didn’t mean to bring back anything…” Il-Ho sat down next to him and said, “That’s alright. I’ve more or less gotten over it…” Il-Ho said. He couldn’t help but smile over the fact that Nabi was concerned about him.

“Well anyway, Doki met Lilith at the park. Lilith was just sitting on the bench and crying her eyes out. Apparently, her parents found out that she had snuck out her “house” and went to a music concert. They didn’t exactly like the band, and it wasn’t the first time she had gone out. Eventually when they brought her home, they took away her most prized “possession”…”

“Well, what was it?” Il-Ho said. The more the story went on, the more Il-Ho was interested in Lilith…

“It was an old picture that her old boyfriend drew for her when they were in elementary school. They only considered each other close friends at the time, but we realized there was something more…” said Nabi. When Il-Ho heard that, his heart sank.

“But it didn’t seem that special…until he died in a car crash.” Nabi said. Il-Ho looked at him with wide eyes. Not only did he like Lilith, but now he felt sorry for her.

Nabi continued, “After Lilith went out again, her parents took the picture from her room and shredded it. She got home and found out pretty quick. After that, she completely broke down. It almost became unbearable for her to even go into her own room. Eventually, Doki met her and comforted her. She still remembers him, but for the most part, she’s decided to move on…”

Il-Ho just sat back and ran a hand through his hair. He had a mixed emotion on concern and depression. He knew how it felt like to be dumped by someone you love, but he never had anyone close to him be taken away like she did. As he thought about this, Nabi asked him, “Hey, could I ask you something?”

“What” Il-Ho said.

“…Does Lilith remind you of Doki?”

To be continued…
The second part to my 13th episode for my spin-off of There She Is by SamBakZa. Nabi tells an interesting story about Lilith, and asks him a question he's been waiting to hear...

Anyway, Enjoy!!!

Wow. Towards the ending I got pretty...saddened? By the story of Lilith's boyfriend. That's really sad. But, the fact that I WAS saddened shows that your writing is very provocative. Very nice.
